Bachy Soletanche is pleased to announce the opening of its new regional office in Bellshill, Glasgow, marking an important step in strengthening its presence across Scotland. Acquired in March 2025, the office provides a dedicated base for operations in the region, enables closer working with contractors and partners, and improves delivery capability.

The new Scottish office forms part of the geotechnical contractor’s long-term strategy to grow its footprint across the UK and Ireland, with a particular focus in Scotland on key sectors such as renewable energy, defence and water. It will support the acquisition and delivery of projects across Scotland, building on Bachy Soletanche’s strong track record in both remote and urban environments—from the Foyers to Knocknagael power line refurbishment, to complex city centre work at the University of Glasgow and Shieldhall Tunnel, as well as major infrastructure schemes such as Rosyth Dockyard.

As part of this expansion, Bachy Soletanche welcomes Lauren Hailey to the team as New Business Manager for Scotland. Based in the new Bellshill office, Lauren brings over 17 years’ experience in the Scottish civil engineering industry. She joins Bachy Soletanche’s Projects Division, which specialises in the delivery of large-scale, multi-disciplinary civil and ground engineering schemes across the UK and Ireland.

Lauren’s role will be central to the growth of the Scottish region — focusing on building relationships with new and existing clients, developing new opportunities and strengthening the local supply chain.

Speaking about the launch, Lauren said:

“This is a really exciting time for the company, as we establish a greater presence in Scotland and look to grow our influence across a range of sectors. I’m looking forward to working closely with our clients and building new partnerships that reflect Bachy Soletanche’s reputation for technical excellence and collaborative delivery.”
