In a drive to accelerate growth and improve client experience, Bachy Soletanche has recently appointed Martin Stanley to the new role of Southern Business Unit Manager.
Martin has been with Bachy Soletanche for over 18 years since graduating university, working across the design, estimating and operations departments for a broad range of projects in the water, energy, transport, infrastructure and commercial sectors.
Bachy Soletanche is shifting to a North and South regionalised approach within its core business department as part of a new strategy to strengthen its position in targeted sectors and geographical areas across the UK. Alongside the two new business units, the company will retain its major projects department, which operates across the country.
Martin’s role will involve providing direction and leadership to the Southern business unit with responsibility for the team’s vision and strategy. He will focus on developing and strengthening client relationships in the South, maximising client satisfaction through operational excellence and maintaining a robust supply chain.
Commenting on his new role, Martin said:
“I’m really looking forward to the opportunity of developing our Southern business unit. I am excited to get out and meet existing and prospective clients across the region to discover how we can contribute to the success of their projects. Regionalising the Core business department will enable us to provide our clients with a local team of geotechnical experts, whilst still offering the full support of the wider company and Soletanche Bachy Group.”
Bachy Soletanche’s managing director Tamas Kaltenbacher added:
“Martin brings vast experience in both our major projects and core business departments, where he has contributed to the successful delivery of a variety of prestigious and complex geotechnical projects. Martin is well respected by colleagues, clients and supply chain partners, with strong relationship-building skills and a passion for developing others. I have no doubt that he will excel in this new role and provide effective leadership to the team.”
